We finished our study of exponent rules last week and you should be working on the homework for that section {it is due on Monday}. Monday and Tuesday we will go over simplifying expressions with radicals, the homework for this section will be due on Wednesday 9/11. We will practice some more with radicals on Wednesday in class and then review for the quiz on P.2 {exponents and radicals} on Thursday. Friday will be your first quiz of the year and will be worth 100 points. Make sure you come in during Patriot time if you have any questions!
Welcome back to school. This year will be an excited year as we dig deeper into a variety of algebraic functions and relations. We will also learn more about the trigonometric functions you learned in Honors Geometry. We will be utilizing Khan Academy to extend what you learned about Statistics in Algebra 1.The purpose of this course is to prepare you to take AP Calculus AB next school year. I encourage all students to purchase a TI-84 plus calculator at some point this school year. This is the calculator you will need for the SAT, ACT, AP tests, and in most colleges.
