Week 5 of online learning - Graphing sine and cosine

Directions for week of 4/27-5/1 Graphing sine and cosine
1. Watch my video directions of how to access this weeks videos and the APEX learning system on schoology.
22.  Choose one of the two options below:
a.     Watch the two videos on graphing sine and cosine that I created. There is a notes outline that goes with these videos it is labeled 4.5 guided notes to print. You need to complete the notes outline and upload to schoology by Friday 5/1 at 11:59 PM.
b.    Watch the two videos on APEX {8.1.2 and 8.3.2}. There is a notes outline that goes with these videos in the materials folder - it is labeled APEX graphing sine and cosine functions study guide. You need to complete the notes outline and upload to schoology by Friday 5/1 at 11:59PM.
_3. You will be need to complete two quizzes on APEX:
a.     8.1.3 quiz needs to be completed by 5/1 at 11:59 PM
b.    8.3.3 quiz needs to be completed by 5/1 at 11:59 PM
I have also included in the materials folder an extra practice folder if you want some more practice with graphing sine and cosine functions. I will put the answer keys up for this practice next week on schoology.
Reminders:
* Grades are now active and being put into HAC for the fourth quarter, remember the fourth quarter is all process grades and some of you are missing some significant work that will be difficult to get turned in all at once to get a pass for the class in the fourth quarter. Anything in TAC with a grade of “0” may still be completed for full credit. Suffice it to say, if you keep doing your work you will be ok.
* Answer keys for last weeks work are posted in the answer key folder on schoology. The answers to the quiz that was due Friday will be available next week.
Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. I am learning how to use Microsoft Teams and if you feel you need to meet with me via teams please email me and we can find a time that works for both of us and I will send you an invite. You can also contact me via Remind or email. You guys are doing a great job! Keep it up!

Miss you all very much.

Week 4 of online learning - we finish sections 4.3 and 4.4

Great job last week everyone! You are doing awesome.

Accelerated Algebra 2/PreCalc  - Section 4.3 and 4.4 continued

Answer keys for last weeks work have been posted in schoology.

Please remember there is a blank and filled in unit circle in the 4.2 folder for students to download and use. The answer keys to the work turned in on 4/14 are now in the answer key folder.

NEXT WEEK -  GRAPHING TRIG FUNCTIONS !!!!!

Please remember there is a blank and filled in unit circle in the 4.2 folder for students to download and use. Answer keys for work turned in last week are in the answer key folder. Make sure to check over your answers.

Lesson Essential Question: How can we find the reference angle and sketch them? How can we find the sine, cosine, and tangent of a given angle? How do we use a calculator to evaluate trig functions?

1.      Watch the video notes on finding reference angles and drawing reference angles : http://precalculus.flippedmath.com/93-evaluating-trig-functions.html

2.      Download the notes packet that goes with the video and fill out the notes portion as you watch the video and then complete the problems at the end of the packet. When completed upload the packet to schoology due 4/24 at 5PM: http://precalculus.flippedmath.com/uploads/1/1/3/0/11305589/pc_9.3_packet.pdf

3.      Answer the discussion question on schoolog: Solve p. 400 #65 then explain to a friend how you solved the problem. You can write your work or upload a picture of it if that is easier. Respond to each others post and look for similarities and differences in how everyone approached the problem. Due 4/24 at 5PM

4.      Complete the assessment on schoology for 4.3 to 4.4. due 4/24 at 5PM -- you need to either show you work on a piece of paper and upload your work to schoology or show your work in the actual quiz online.

Week 2 of online learning lessons for 4/8 to 4/14

Assignments for 4/8 to 4/14
Here are the answers for the Benchmark review packet and extra credit, no more extra credit assignments will be accepted at this time:
Benchmark review answers
Extra credit answers

Please check HAC for any missing assignments for 3rd quarter and email them to me ASAP, This includes the bookwork for 4.1 {answers are in the back of the book} and the Benchmark review packet. If you want to retake the solving log and exponential equations quiz you need to email me to get a picture of your original quiz and then do all your corrections on another sheet of paper. You can earn back up to half the points that you missed. So if you got a 70, you can earn back a maximum of 15 points {100-70 = 30/2}. All corrections are due by 4/10 at 5 PM.

As for 4th quarter assignments, check under grades in schoology and see if you are missing any of last week assignments. A great app to help you turn your work into a pdf is Genius Scan. It is free. If you need help uploading your documents watch this video:

Lessons for week of 4/8 to 4/14
