b.     Reciprocal Identities
c.      Pythagorean Identities
    d.     Sum and Difference Formulas
    e.     Double Angle Formulas
    f.       There is some other important information on this sheet – it has a filled in unit circle, the right triangle definitions of trig functions, unit circle definition of trig functions, domain, range and period formulas for all six trig functions. This is a paper you will want to keep handy for the rest of the year and also for next school year.
   3.     Complete the “Practice sum and difference and double angle” worksheet and submit to schoology by 5/26 at 11:59 PM
   4.     Choose one of the two options below:
a.     Option 1: Watch the two video on inverse trig
                                                              i.      There is a notes outline that goes with the video. You need to complete and upload to schoology by Friday 5/26 at 11:59 PM.
b.     Option 2: Complete the study guide lesson on APEX {9.1.1}. –

   7.     Complete the evens or odds on the “4.7 Inverse trig practice” worksheet and upload to schoology by 5/22 at 11:59 PM
In your materials folder I have already download the study guides that go with the lesson and they is a pdf in the materials folder on schoology.
Reminders:
Grades are now active and being put into HAC for the fourth quarter, remember the fourth quarter is all process grades and some of you are missing some significant work that will be difficult to get turned in all at once to get a pass for the class in the fourth quarter. Anything in TAC with a grade of “0” may still be completed for full credit. Suffice it to say, if you keep doing your work you will be ok.
Please email me if you have any questions or concerns. I am able to have a  Microsoft Teams meeting with you if you want. If you would like to meet with me via teams please email me and we can find a time that works for both of us and I will send you an invite. You can also contact me via Remind or email. You guys are doing a great job! Keep it up!

Miss you all very much.

Here are the answers for the Benchmark review packet and extra credit, no more extra credit assignments will be accepted at this time:
Benchmark review answers
Extra credit answers

Please check HAC for any missing assignments for 3rd quarter and email them to me ASAP, This includes the bookwork for 4.1 {answers are in the back of the book} and the Benchmark review packet. If you want to retake the solving log and exponential equations quiz you need to email me to get a picture of your original quiz and then do all your corrections on another sheet of paper. You can earn back up to half the points that you missed. So if you got a 70, you can earn back a maximum of 15 points {100-70 = 30/2}. All corrections are due by 4/10 at 5 PM.

As for 4th quarter assignments, check under grades in schoology and see if you are missing any of last week assignments. A great app to help you turn your work into a pdf is Genius Scan. It is free. If you need help uploading your documents watch this video:

Missing two weeks ... now what

We were beginning our trig unit and the site below is a great one to use to continue your learning:

http://precalculus.flippedmath.com/91-reference-triangles-and-reciprocal-trig-functions.html

This link takes you to the video on 9.1 reference triangles and reciprocal functions. This was the topic we were starting on 3/16. At the bottom of the page is a "packet" that follows the video. At the end of the packet are some practice problems. The practice solutions are the answers to the problems in the packet, and then corrective assignment is some more practice.

If you click on the top of the page where it says Semester 2 you can access other topics for our trig unit:

Unit 8 is a review of radians, degrees and the three trig functions you learned last year {We do not do velocity in our class so you do not need to look at that lesson}.

Unit 9 is going over the unit circle and extending it to the three new trig functions we are learning this year.

Unit 10 brings us to graphing trig functions.

These three units pretty much cover Chapter 4 from our textbook{which is what we would have covered between now and spring break}. If you want more practice you can also do odd problems in your textbook - the answers are in the back.

If you would like to review some other topics you can look under the Semester 1 heading. Unit 7 is logs and exponential functions.

None of these are required assignments. However, if you keep practicing the skills and look over the new material it will help us get back into learning much quicker when we return from our break. Remember you can always email me if you have any questions.

Assignments you already have and can be working on:
4.1 book work - p.367 #5,7,9,15,17,33,35,39-61odd,71-81odd {due when we return}
Benchmark review guide {due when we return}- click here
Law of Sines and Law of Cosines packet due 4/3 - click here
3.2-3.4 review packet - can be done for extra credit due when we return - click here
Website with a blank unit circle you can print out:   http://www.embeddedmath.com/downloads/files/unitcircle/blankunitcircle-letter.pdf
